Conducted by Evan Lawson, Rhenish combines two young and exciting Melbourne ensembles for an evening of magic with special guests Ashley Smith on clarinet and Catherine Ashley on harp. An evening of harmonic synergy, Forest Collective and Hopkins Sinfonia will perform György Ligeti’s Fragment for Chamber Orchestra (1961), Evan Lawson’s Peane from Hyacinth for solo Clarinet, solo Harp and Chamber Orchestra (2012, rev. 2014/15) and Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 “Rheinish” Op. 97 (1850).
