Perth-born Teresa Ingrilli is a lyric soprano based in Naarm.
She is an emerging artist with Victorian Opera and an associate artist with Melbourne Opera. She has performed a number of leading operatic roles including; The Countess in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Erste Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, the title role in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Blanche de la Force in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, Queen Tye in Glass’ Akhnaten and understudied internationally acclaimed soprano Helena Dix in the title role of Melbourne Opera’s production of Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda.
In Melbourne Opera’s Bendigo festival of Wagner’s Der Ring Des Nibelungen (2023), Teresa performed as Ortlinde in Die Walküre and understudied Gutrune in Götterdämerung. As an emerging artist with Victorian Opera, Teresa performed the principal roles of Lidochka in Shostakovic's Melbourne, Cheremushki (2023) and La Regina dei Topi in Il Mago di Oz (2022). She also performed as chorus for Victorian Opera and Opera Australia's co-production of Mozart’s Idomeneo (2023) and Strauss’ Elektra (2022).
Highlights of her oratorio and concert repertoire include soprano soloist in Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C (2019), Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 at Hamer Hall (2022) and numerous performances of Handel’s Messiah.
She graduated from the University of Melbourne Conservatorium of Music with a Masters of Music (Opera Performance) in 2020.
